Helping more children walk to school: We work in schools across the UK to inspire more children to walk to school. Taking them on local audits helps to educate children on how our streets can be improved and how we can walk safely.

Love Lane community group: Our Living Streets Croydon Local Group revitalised a disused area for community benefit. This further encourage walking short, everyday journeys and brought people in the community together.

People walking in Birmingham: We want a future where people walk their local, everyday journeys - especially where it is more populated and possible in towns and cities. Lots of people walking, like in this picture, makes us very happy!

Car-Free Norwich
Norwich
Norwich Car-Free Day 2019: To mark the first Norwich Car-Free Day we worked with various groups of activists and campaigners to take over a street in the centre of Norwich, and create a day-long family-friendly party with music, dancing, chalk art, and gigantic bubbles! My favourite element of this photo is the emphasis on childhood: Car-Free Norwich is fighting for a city safe enough for children to traverse freely, where their creativity can be unlocked.

Norfolk Car-Free Day: Play Streets! In 2020 our Car-Free Day was focussed on Play Streets - this photo shows the largest such closure. We believe these brilliant schemes will be vital in changing the psychology of the street: they can help people to see the street space as *their* space in which to dwell, chat, and play, and not just somewhere to store cars. After persuading the Local Authority to improve their play street policy in 2020, we're hoping for many more of these schemes in the future.

Public chargepoints for all to use: A chargepoint being launched at Blain House in Penrith by the chief executive of Eden Housing Association John Clasper. As he cut the ribbon, he described their desire to contribute to their community by hosting a public chargepoint for no monetary gain.

Mark in the Rain: This image brings with it such a wonderful feel - Mark, one of our volunteers, waiting outside a supermarket in torrential rain. Yet, he has a sense of humour about the situation because he loves riding the bikes and ensuring that food gets to where it is most needed. Whilst we managed to capture Mark in this moment, I believe we could have got similar shots of all our volunteers - they are all so dedicated.

Food delivery to hostel: When the pandemic hit last year, those experiencing homelessness were accommodated by hotels that were forced to close, and this is when we started to collect food for those most in need. We worked directly with organisations supporting these individuals, and it was always so enjoyable to turn up on our silly bikes and be greeted by people that we were supporting. They'd help us unload the food from the bikes, taking it to the kitchens, and be so full of thanks for the actions we were doing to support members of the community who are so often forgotten.

Bikes at traffic lights: We want this to be a normal sight. Rather than queues of cars - queues of bikes. People being able to breathe freely rather than inhaling toxic fumes which choke our lungs and our earth's services. Space given over to people instead of metal boxes that shut off other people, places and sensations that connect us to our natural world.
